Gazing at the island upon arrival…
The wild coves of Le Forna
A day at Cala Feola
By ferry or hydrofoil, on the way to the port a wonderful game is to learn to recognize in order: Zannone, Gavi, Frontone beach, Santa Maria, Giancos, Sant'Antonio…
From Casa La Ginestra and Il Mare you can easily reach unspoiled beaches such as Cala dell’Acqua, la Caletta and the Piscine Naturali, where the sea is a kaleidoscope of colors.
It is the sandy beach of Le Forna, with umbrella rentals, bars, and small restaurants pieds-dans-l’eau, in an enchanting corner of the island that can be reached by descending two hundred and sixty steps through greenery.
Excursion to Palmarola
Boat trip
The sunset tour
It's the experience not to be missed! The local boatmen will guide you to discover one of the most magical places in the world, among emerald green sea, caves, beaches, and history. The trips depart from Le Forna and the port and include swimming stops, lunch on board, and return to Ponza, completing the tour around the island.
Renting a boat allows you to visit the island in complete autonomy, stopping offshore at the many coves where you can swim in pristine waters. Attention: landing is prohibited on numerous beaches for safety reasons and you risk hefty fines!
By scooter, in the evening, searching for panoramic viewpoints overlooking Palmarola in the Le Forna area, from Lucia Rosa to Cala Feola passing by the Madonnina behind the church of Le Forna, a fascinating tour accompanied by the evening light descending behind the turtle-shaped island. Unforgettable!
The sunset tour
With your nose up, looking at the stars
A walk along the island's paths
Wandering around the island by e-bike
A fantastic way for detours, scenic spots, tasty stops, beaches, and venues. The ideal is to bring along a sandwich or a slice of pizza bought from the island's bakeries, and stop wherever you like. The best spot is the viewpoint over Chiaia di Luna heading towards Le Forna, where you can stop to enjoy a treat and let your eyes take in one of the most fascinating places in Ponza.
In spring or, in summer, early in the morning, trekking to Monte Guardia, to the Guardia Lighthouse or - on the other side of the island - to the San Silverio Observatory, are activities not to be missed, equipped with a water bottle, hat, and camera.
Lying on the loungers on our terrace, or with a blanket somewhere outdoors, contemplating a starry night in Ponza is one of those experiences that remain in your eyes and in your heart! And Le Forna, far from the lights of the port, is definitely the place where the details of the night are even clearer and brighter.
Devote yourself to cooking with local catch
Focaccias and sweets made in Ponza
Strolling through the port
On the island there are bakeries and pastry shops that alone are worth the trip.
In the evening, after dinner, the lights of the Bourbon port, with its venues and nightlife, are worth a stroll, to enjoy an ice cream, go shopping, chat with other tourists, and get lost in the many little streets winding around the church and the town hall.
Going down to the port, buying freshly caught fish, and cooking it to then savor it with a sea view on our terrace is undoubtedly a must. If a good fish dish is then accompanied by a glass of Biancolella, the white wine that comes from the grape variety found on the island, well... Paradise is within reach, both for your hand and your palate!
